The UGA College Republicans were back in an increasingly familiar position Wednesday--on the front page.
The UGACRs were consulted by of the Georgia Red and Black reporter Brian Hughes for his story "Anti-abortion bills create more debate: Parties disagree over legislation," which focused on the four major bills making their way through the Georgia state General Assembly. These include a feticide bill (Georgia's version of California's "Connor's Law), the Full Disclosure Ultrasound Act, the Pharmacists' Rights Act, and a sweeping abortion ban comparable to that which just passed in South Dakota and was signed into law by Republican Governor Mike Rounds.
The opposing viewpoint was given by UGA Young Democrats President Yvonne Williams. Political Science professor Charles Bullock was also consulted; his viewpoint agreed almost entirely with that of the UGACRs.
